Homemade Bath Bombs? Why, Of Course!

Bath bombs are a luxurious treat that can turn an ordinary bath into a spa-like experience. Making your own bath bombs is surprisingly simple and allows you to customize scents and colors to suit the recipient.

Materials Needed

- 1 cup baking soda

- 1/2 cup citric acid

- 1/2 cup Epsom salt

- 1/2 cup cornstarch

- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (melted)

- 1 teaspoon water

- 10-15 drops essential oil (e.g., lavender, eucalyptus, or peppermint)

- Food coloring (optional)

- Bath bomb molds or silicone molds

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt, and cornstarch. Mix well.

2. In a small bowl, mix the melted coconut oil, water, essential oil, and food coloring (if using).

3. Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing continuously to avoid fizzing. The mixture should have the consistency of damp sand.

4. Firmly press the mixture into bath bomb molds or silicone molds. Pack tightly to ensure the bath bombs hold their shape.

5. Let the bath bombs dry in the molds for at least 24 hours. Once they are completely dry, carefully remove them from the molds.

6. Wrap the bath bombs in tissue paper or place them in a decorative jar. Add a label with usage instructions and a list of ingredients.
